Call The Midwife favourite Jessica Raine has said she will be "blubbing" alongside whatever remains of the TV group of onlookers when the arrangement returns after she bowed out of the show.

The performing artist, who has been seen as the acting piece's Jenny Lee since the programme started, is proceeding onward to "pastures new" and was seen for the last time as the third arrangement arrived at its finale.
Programme-producers have consoled viewers her character will keep on narraing the stories, enlivened by the diaries composed by Jennifer Worth, with the voice of veteran star Vanessa Redgrave returning by and by.
